Concert: Skunk Anansie

Skunk Anansie

This has been one of the biggest best rock concerts I’ve been to - at all. Ever. Just Pearl Jam and Mew can keep up to that. Holy fucking shit.

At the beginning of  March I finally could  use my Tickets for Skunk Anansie I bought them last year when I saw they’d come and play. It has been a decision of about  five seconds. And  still too long. Herregud. The fact that this should be the last concert of their tour didn’t seem to be too important to me. I think this time I’ve done everything right.

I’m lacking a bit words here. I was expecting big things, but I never expected something like that. I’ve actually never been “the” Skunk Anansie fan. Sure, I know a couple of songs of them (Hedonism, Charlie Big Potato, Weak), but not more. At that that was what I thought. When they started playing one song after the other came back out of the depths of my memory into my consciousness. The baseline of of Twisted was still hunting my days after the concert. Just too difficult to get it out of your head.

To give you an impression I’ve looked up the opening on YouTube. It still catches my breath when I see it…
