Grandma explains

Grandma explains

It was more than a year ago when my father handed me over some old tapes from the time when I was a young, young, very young kid.

I’ve been asked to digitalize them and that was what I did. Connected a tape recorder to a laptop, played all the tapes and created some MP3 files out of them. After a while I realized that these were the last remains and last proves of his voice. And it was not much.

On the other Hand my Grandma is still alive, but there are even less records of her. Or should I say “It have been?”.

During Easter I was visiting her and I brought a new toy: A digital recorder (and a cake, of course.). So we sat down, had some tea and cake and were talking about whatever came up.

So this will be mostly of interest for family-members, at least people who understand the German language.
