Melody Gardot/The Absence¶
For a bit more relaxing, especially now in summer, I shifted my listening habits a bit to a more jazzy, relaxing category of music. Melody Gardot was a recommendation, basically an accidental discovery in a playlist. A very nice one. This is her latest album from end of May 2012, but the others are very nice as well. Some are filled with covers of other known songs, some are spiked with own creations.
The cover songs are changed and adjusted quite much, so all songs fit together harmonically. All in all it’s a very relaxing listening-experience, pretty music for working or just for listening.
She’s currently touring. A bit in Europe and a bit in the USA. But in November 2012 she’s coming here… wonder what I’m doing that day …
