Vienna Teng

Vienna Teng / Inland territory

This time we’re going to the US. It seems that I don’t find many artists coming from there (yes , there are exceptions), but this time I found something really nice: Vienna Teng. As usually I can’t remember where and how I’ve heard it first. I should really start writing that down.

The reason why I picked Vienna Teng is simple: it was playing and I was more or less listening to it. Every-time it seemed to drift into background noise, the music took some turn and dragged in my attention again.

This went all the album that way and it was constantly balancing between just filling the room with music and expecting me as a listening paying attention for being able to follow it. I couldn’t just simply let it run and ignore it.

There are couple of songs on that album (and the other albums too) that work like that. And they all a different.

Sometimes her voice remembers me to Jennifer Warnes, but her music style is quite different. Just lean back and enjoy.
