Austra/Feel it break

Austra/Feel it break

This weeks album comes from a good friend of mine - a kind of personal recommendation you could say. The Canadian group Austra with the same name as an island in Norway dropped last year in May the album Feel it break, the first one of many I hope to come. And I hope they will leave markings in the ground like this one does.

By the time I listened the first time to this album, it wasn’t that convincing. But I knew I could trust the taste of my friend, so I didn’t delete it right away. In about one week time the album grew. From an underdog that had to convince me and was only allowed to stay because of good faith into a dominant sound-wave, raging through my headphones.

For me who usually isn’t that much into electronic music, this might be as close as I get to it. And I’m happy right here. When you listen to this album you will perhaps discover as well, that not all songs are purely electronic - some old fashion unplugged songs are there as well. The borders are seaming-less.

Thanks for this recommendation!
