Cabintour Hovden

Hovden

This weekend, it was again time for a Hyttetur; to Hovden.

Just a small trip, just a bit relaxing.

To sum it up very quickly: Hovden is a great place for Snowboarding. We were luckily habiting a cabin quite close to the slopes, so it was just a show walking tour.

In comparison to Tryvann or Trysil _Hovden_ doesn’t seem to spectacular. But that depends on what you want. Jumping is fine in Trysil or maybe in Tryvann as well (though it’s freaking expensive this year in Tryvann). But what I really like is off-piste and going through the woods.

While you’re basically running against a wall of trees in Tryvann the forest in Trysil is not that narrow. But it’s still not good. In _Hovden_ on the other hand there’s no trees at the top at all, then - slowly - the first ones come and it’s becoming more a like forest, but still giving you enough space to maneuver, turn and stop. This was basically the best off-pist experience I’ve had so far.
