Water damage

Water damage. You take a shower and in the kitchen downstairs streams of water are running down the cupboard. Interesting as well (From the point of view where you are surprised where water from the bathroom shows up).

I called the plumber who called the carpenter in order to remove the cupboards in the kitchen. Source of all this is a broken pipe running along the cupboards. According to the plumber during the previous renovation of the bathroom the cheapest and fastest way has been chosen to connect the pipes. Occasionally those pipes get micro fractures then. Those grow until they become proper fractures and you see the result. The warranty of something like this is about five years, which is three years too short in my opinion.

I was lucky in multiple ways:

  1. I called the plumber in the morning and he just got informed that he would have a day spare. Twenty minutes until he was on site.

  2. Nothing seems to be wet. Even the cupboards are not bloated.

  3. This is covered by insurance.

  4. There’s a shower at work.

I wonder what the invoice will be…
