Chocolate-egg

This year we have made a chocolate egg for easter. This was based on a suggestion from Freia, but needed to be modified a bit in order to get it to work.

Ingredients

  • 3 plates of chocolate. Cooking chocolate works just fine.

  • Sprinkles for the decoration outside

  • Sweets and Candy to fill

  • A Bowl of the size of the egg

  • Aluminum-foil

Procedure

  1. Melt the chocolate in a water bath.

  2. Cover the bowl on the outside with aluminum.

  3. Turn the bowl upside down on a plate where liquids (like chocolate can be caught)

  4. Smear the chocolate on the outside of the bowl on the aluminum. The original recipe suggested to dunk the bowl into the chocolate. This resulted in too thin walls of the egg.

  5. Throw some sprinkles over the bowl, that is covered in chocolate.

  6. Put everything for at least half an hour into the fridge.

  7. When the chocolate has hardened, take it out of the fridge, turn it around and fill it with your sweets and candy.
