Sewing is hard

I tried to pick up sewing today. With a machine that is.

All I need to do is to sew a straight line of 110cm at the end of some fabric. You should assume that would be easy.

So far I’ve used a couple of spare fabric for testing, broke two needles and had to fill the little thingy that provides the thread from below.

I’ve learned how to handle the big loop that appear on the underside of the fabric and played with a couple of settings. But the machine still gets stuck when sewing in a straight line. It completely jams and I have to force the needle manually back up.

I’ve also added some stoppers that weren’t setup at all on the machine.

It’s harder than it looks. Maybe I should find myself some alternative fabric to test with first..
