The Civil Wars/Barton Hollow¶
It started about a month ago in a Cafe. I was sitting there, minding my own business, when suddenly a cover-version of the famous Leoard Cohen - Halleluja started.
But that version was unknown to me …
… until now. When asking for the song currently playing, the people behind the bar seemed quite proud being able to point to that nice version and that it was played by The Civil Wars. A name is all I need.
Now after listening a couple of dozen times through Barton Hollows I slowly get a hang of it. First it seemed to be a rather boring version of Angus and Julia Stone. Almost sleeping-pill folk.
But there are some pieces on that album that might make you think twice…
