Movies at home

I’m currently at home. Ill. It’s snowing like hell outside and I can’t really go snowboarding.

Sleeping isn’t an option either so the only thing I’m left to do is watching movies and putting wood into the fireplace.

I’ve made it so far across these:

  • Absolute Power

Clint Eastwood in a Clint Eastwood movie. Seems like he knows what he’s doing. Not as bad-ass as Grand Torino, but nothing less a Thriller I enjoyed.

  • Robot & Frank

A movie about forgetting things and becoming old. But you shouldn’t give up on what you’ve got a real passion for, right?

  • Taxi Driver

Robert de Niro takes revenge. Some kind of psychopath as well, though. It starts slow, but takes up the speed. Is it just me or does the main character share some things with Awakenings?

  • Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

Nice and easy Marvel movie. Flash and Batman in a completely messed up world. Not a kids movie I’d say.

  • The bridge

The American version of the danish Broen. Less pretty pictures, less unauthentic characters and basically the same plot. You wouldn’t buy a Swiss army knife from China, would you? I didn’t make it through the pilot before I gave up.

  • Person of Interest

Good series start, easy plot. Looses some charm during the second season when the character of _root_ is introduced. You can safe skip all scenes including her without messing up the story.

  • No Place On Earth

People in the Ukraine hiding in caves during World War II.

  • Mister Lonely

I have no idea what this movie was about. Cancelled it after one hour. Promising start, though.

  • Mammon

Watched only the first episode so far. Already better than Twilight. A quick death, tries hard to get boring, turns around. The new “Broen”?

  • The Woman in Black

Harry Potter going down dark hallways, watching empty chairs and hunting shadows. A classical Horror-Movie with no surprises.
